The UNP yesterday charged there was a move to arrest Puttalam District Parliamentarian Palitha Range Bandara by fabricating evidence against him.

A UPFA candidate in the Central Province who had been doling out fake honourary doctorates using the name of an organisation called “Vishwa Samadhi Padanama” was taken into custody, Kandy police said.
