The Campaign for Free and Fair Elections (CaFFE) would like to state that the complaints we are receiving regarding the North-Central Provincial and Sabaragamuwa Elections are on the rise.
By the 6th of August 2008 CaFFE has received a total of 96 complaints consisting of 60 complaints regarding election violations, 30 complaints regarding the use of State resources for electison use and 06 complaints regarding the violation of civil law.

ELECTION monitors urged security officials to take steps to curb the increasing pre-election violence in the Sabaragamuwa and North Central provinces. Campaign for Free and Fair Elections (CAFFE) Media Spokesperson Keerthi Tennekoon yesterday said that the opposition parties were also beginning to indulge in election violence and violations. "All these days, the UPFA was involved in pre-election violence. But the trend is now changing.
